Let's Be Joyful

Psalm 100

Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
    Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before him, singing with joy.
Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are his.
We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good.
    His unfailing love continues forever,
and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

Giving thanks....praising....worshiping the Lord....it is so important to be faithful in doing these things.  It's important for our own self and it's important for everyone we come in contact with.  When we do these things the Lord fills us with good things....good feelings....joy to share.  An inner joy that tends to spill out onto others.  At work/home there might be a lot of contention....disagreement....even conflict.  So much so that the days can sometimes just get overwhelming.  As Christians if we stay close to the Lord and let Him fill us with joy there is a good chance that some of it will rub off on the negative people we are around all day.

Psalm 95:1

Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

If we do some singing and shouting we will be filled with joy.  It's time to start making a choice to be joyful no matter what circumstance we find ourself in.

"until we see JESUS....face to face"

  2. Hi Chelle,
    Woot it's FRIDAY! :)

Sometime the only thing that can bring me joy is praise and worship to Father. Rarely do I have time alone, I mean with nobody around within ear distance. Last week was a special occasion for me as my daughter was off at the university, and my husband took my son into work with him so I had the whole place to myself. I turned up the worship music good and loud, sang my heart out and shouted, yes loudly, praises to Jesus. Man did I ever feel so good. After about 1 1/2 hrs of doing this the phone rang. It was my friend and she was like, "You are so giddy are you okay?" I was a high as a kite and told her I was drunk in the Lord. It felt so good to honour Him.

Have a good, peaceful weekend friend.

  3. Hi Chelle! It's so lovely to hear about someone else's prayer isn't it? I read King David's joy and his prayer and it inspires me so much. The Lord is good! And we are his blessed children.
    Have a good weekend :)
