The Lord Is Our Strength

I was reminded this morning that the Lord is our strength.  When we aren't sure we can get up one more time and do what we need to do....we can.  If we are a child of God, He will give us the strength we need to keep on going.  Our Lord is full of power.  Just the mention of His name brings on more power that we could ever imagine!

Jeremiah 10:6 NLT
LORD, there is no one like you!
For You are great, and Your name is full of power.

Proverbs 18:10 NKJ
The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.

For whatever you are experiencing today....just keep calling on the name of Jesus.  Jesus can get you through it.  There's a song that comes to mind.  Maybe you know it....

I must tell Jesus
I must tell Jesus
I cannot bear my burdens alone
I must tell Jesus
I must tell Jesus
Jesus can help me
Jesus alone

I think what's important is that we talk to the Lord about everything....good and bad.  He is always there.  Psalms 17:6 (NLT) says this;

I am praying to You because I know You will answer, O God.
Bend down and listen as I pray.

We are always going to go through things in life that are hard.  When we do we need to keep fighting through them and believing that the Lord will give us the strength we need to get to the other side of them.  Believe that He will give you strength for the battle you are in....but also be prepared.  The battle may not end the way you want it too.  Always be ready for the day that your fight will be over.  We will all meet Jesus....face to face....one day.  None of us know when that day will be for us.

"until we see JESUS....face to face"

  1. You are right, we should remember to call on Him in both the good and the bad times...I think I usually forget to call on Him during the good times...to give Him thanks as well as to ask Him to join in the joy and fun.

  2. That's right Chelle,
    We must never forget that He is with us in all situations, and that is why it is important to keep up our communication with Him. He is well able to do what we are not able to do.
    God bless you

  3. Hi Chelle,
    Yea, we need to talk to Father about everything especially since He knows it already but sometimes we just don't know it. Sometimes in the chatting with Him, He shows me something that I didn't realize was an issue. He wants to heal us from everything but I believe His biggest concern for us is healing our soul.

    Blessings hon, spent a good chunk of time praying for you early this morning.

  4. Hi Chelle! I believe he will help me in my battles too. It's just that sometimes I think it's all up to me. Which is silly...and ultimately makes me unhappy. God is waiting to be invited into my struggles. Thank you for the good reminder that it is up to me...up to me to invite. Not solve everything!
    Blessings,
    Ceil
